What is a Small Community Life Group?

A Community Life group is a small group of individuals with common goals, interest, or needs who help each other grow spiritually and form life-long relationships in order to "Do Life Together".

How Do I join a Small Community Life Group?

To Join a Small Community Life Group all you need to do is read through the list of groups below and click on the one that interest you. From there you will be taken to that group's page where you can read a more in-depth description and contact the group's leader via the messaging text box on the right-hand side. Remember if you aren't signed up with Fellowship One you might have to leave your email so the leaders can get in touch with you.

Behind The Walls

Each 3rd Sunday, our small group will reach those behind the wall through two mediums of the Church: Prayer and Evangelism. The Prayer Ministry and Evangelism Ministry will gather in prayer, as well as wall the streets in NW Houston to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

To explore what it means to be in a covenant relationship with your spouse and with God.

Evangelism Outreach

This community group offers bible study with a focus on disciple leadership and discussion. All members are encouraged and challenged to find ways to deepen their walk with God. This group provides a comfortable atmosphere that promotes friendship and opportunities to serve others with God’s Love

Leadership One to One

Join a group of women who are leaders and want to share with other women who have like goals and interest. We will share our leadership experiences, study to improve our leadership skills, while identifying innovative ideas, activities, and strategies to grow us mentally, physically and spiritually. We will attend conferences together and plan get-a-ways, and play dates to relax, refresh and rejuvenate ourselves.

Blended Families

Although blended families had their place in biblical times, they are even more common today. Families still wrestle with questions surrounding ethnicity, cultural differences, family values, traditions, and engaging with extended family members. Join us each Tuesday at 7:30 pm as we study the dynamics of successfully leading multicultural, blended families.

 

Door Keepers

Join the ushers and greeters of First Met., as they explore ways to create a hospitable environment. Learn methods, techniques, as well as study God's Word, that you might be built up in character to be an asset to worship and building community in the Church.

Hope's Journey

Group will provide a welcome and spiritually nourishing space to share about mental health challenges as we come together to give and receive encouragement, love support, and hope through this faith journey of our heart, mind, and soul.

Ascension Praise Dance

This is an open group for those interested in seeking God through dance. This group seeks to lift up the name of God through dance and magnification of praise and worship with the Body of First Metropolitan during Praise and Worship. We seek to develop fully functional disciples of Jesus Christ by enhancing spiritual growth through studying the Word of God in weekly devotionals and prayer. This group meets 1st and 3rd Thursday and ministers 1st and 3rd Sunday at both services.

GriefShare

GriefShare is a grief support group that meets weekly. They are support groups that are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. Meetings are 13 weeks, with 3 sessions a year.
